Dr. Crumpton-Young received the US Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM) from President Obama for her achievements in helping to diversify the STEM Workforce in our nation.
Dr. Crumpton-Young is a visionary who has worked successfully with faculty to create student-centric initiatives and restructure academic degree offerings, as well as insert curriculum and courses to enhance career marketability and vitality of graduates. She has worked to help secure millions of dollars in funding for research initiatives, corporate partnership endeavors, academic scholarships and new facilities. Dr. Crumpton-Young is an exceptional leader who works collaboratively with elected officials, corporations, foundations, organizations, alumni and other key stakeholders.
